High-Performance HDPE/LDPE Geosynthetic Barrier System
 

This impermeable geomembrane provides an extremely low permeability barrier, with a hydraulic conductivity coefficient of ≤10⁻¹² cm/s, effectively preventing fluid migration across the membrane layer.

It is designed to isolate water, wastewater, and chemical solutions, making it a core geosynthetic containment material used in environmental and civil engineering applications.

The membrane is manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or low-density polyethylene (LDPE), both of which are thermoplastic materials that can be joined using hot-air welding technology to form high-strength, continuous seams.

The system offers long-term durability with no corrosion, no biological degradation, and excellent chemical resistance.

Typical applications include landfills, wastewater treatment ponds, mining tailings storage facilities, and containment engineering projects.

Temperature Resistance and Mechanical Performance

 

The HDPE geomembrane maintains performance in extreme temperature environments.

It remains serviceable at temperatures as low as -60°C and withstands elevated temperatures up to 80°C.

The material provides tensile strength ≥25 MPa and elongation at break ≥600%, allowing it to accommodate significant ground settlement and deformation without failure.

UV stabilizers and antioxidants are incorporated into the formulation to enhance resistance to solar radiation and environmental aging.

The designed service life exceeds 50 years in buried applications and approximately 20 years in exposed conditions.

Installation Efficiency and System Design

 

The geomembrane is available in wide roll formats of 2 m, 4 m, and 6 m widths, significantly reducing field seams and improving installation efficiency.

Standard thickness ranges from 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm, with roll lengths of 50 m or 100 m depending on specification.
