Unlike conventional waterproofing membranes installed on hardened concrete, this pre-applied waterproof membrane is placed before concrete pouring.
The membrane is installed on the blinding layer first, after which fresh concrete is poured directly onto its surface. A specially designed reactive bonding layer allows the wet concrete to fully integrate with the membrane during curing. Once hardened, the membrane and concrete form a continuous, permanent composite structure.
This eliminates any potential water channel between the membrane and concrete, ensuring long-term waterproof integrity.
This product is a pure polymer-based system with no bitumen content and is widely used in subway tunnels, underground galleries, and foundation structures.
How This Pre-Applied Waterproof Membrane Improves Efficiency and Safety
This system does not require a protective screed layer. After installation, reinforcement steel can be placed directly on the membrane, and construction personnel can walk on the surface during installation.
The material offers high puncture resistance against rebar, dropped tools, and site traffic. Minor surface damage can self-seal due to its recovery properties.
The system is cold-applied and does not require open flame installation, making it highly suitable for underground construction environments. It eliminates gas torches, odors, and fire risks.
This installation method significantly improves construction efficiency by eliminating one full protective layer, reducing both labor and overall project cost.
