Imported chemical root inhibitors are added to the SBS modified bitumen system, paired with a long-fiber polyester mat reinforcing layer, which can effectively block penetration by plant roots without hindering normal plant growth. This root-resistant waterproof membrane has passed domestic root penetration resistance testing, and remains intact with stable waterproof performance after over 8 years of service in multiple roof garden projects we have serviced. Root-resistant products available on the market vary wildly in quality; some only add copper powder, which delivers short-term effects but fails long-term due to precipitation. Our root-resistant waterproof membrane adopts imported eco-friendly chemical root inhibitors that form molecular-level root repulsion for long-term stable root resistance. Meanwhile, the internal polyester mat substrate of the membrane provides an additional physical barrier, delivering dual protection for a longer-lasting waterproof layer. The membrane starts at a thickness of 4mm with a uniform and full coating layer. After torch-on construction, the lap joints fully fuse to form an integrated waterproof and root-resistant system. Our R&D team continues to optimize formulas, and the latest generation product extends root resistance lifespan to over 20 years, fully meeting the design requirements of high-end greening projects.
