TPO single-ply membranes do not contain plasticizers, which significantly reduces the risk of long-term material degradation associated with plasticizer migration.
Unlike PVC-based systems, which may experience plasticizer loss over time leading to embrittlement, this TPO membrane is manufactured from ethylene-propylene rubber and polypropylene-based materials, providing long-term dimensional stability and durability.
The system maintains flexibility and mechanical performance over extended service life.
It is an environmentally friendly roofing solution, typically available in white or light gray surface finishes. The light-colored surface provides high solar reflectivity, contributing to reduced heat absorption and improved energy efficiency in roofing applications.
Hot-Air Welding Installation System
This TPO single-ply membrane is installed using hot-air welding technology.
During installation, hot air is applied to the seam area to soften the thermoplastic material. The overlapping sheets are then fused together, forming a continuous homogeneous weld upon cooling.
The resulting seam provides a watertight and high-strength connection with excellent durability.
The system does not require open flame installation, improving on-site safety.
The membrane also exhibits resistance to chemical exposure, including acids, alkalis, and salts, making it suitable for industrial environments such as chemical plants and landfill sites.
The standard width is 2 meters, which reduces the number of seams and improves installation efficiency.
Technical Performance and Manufacturing Capability
The membrane offers excellent low-temperature flexibility down to -40°C and heat resistance up to 120°C.
It provides tensile strength ≥12 MPa and elongation at break ≥500%, ensuring high resistance to structural movement and deformation.
