How This Self Adhesive Polymer Modified Bitumen Membrane Heals Itself
The material has a special glue layer. It is very sticky. When you press it onto concrete, it bonds tight. Water cannot flow under it. The self adhesive polymer modified bitumen membrane also has a self healing power. Imagine a nail makes a small hole. The hole is less than 2mm. The glue will close that hole by itself. It also closes small cracks from building movement. This stops water from traveling between the membrane and the wall. We call this the self locking water function.
